MOMS Orange County was awarded an $182,100 California Department of Public Health contract for the Regional Perinatal Program of Orange County.  The two-year contract will also continue the efforts of the Orange County Perinatal Council (OCPC) an initiative that provides leadership in promoting access to health services and develops linkages between health professionals and organizations in Orange County.

There are 9 funded Regional Perinatal programs throughout California working with their local health care providers to provide regional planning, coordination, and recommendations to assure appropriate levels and quality of care.  The primary purpose of the Regional Perinatal Program of Orange County is to bring together public and private health care providers to increase positive birth outcomes.  This is done through information gathering, sharing best practices and utilizing quality improvement data.  MOMS Orange County will also help to develop, monitor and implement quality improvement activities.
