MOMS Orange County has provided me with lots of support and knowledge. I enrolled in the home visitation program and started taking classes when I found out I was pregnant and I learned so much. My home visitors, Lupe and Larissa, were amazing. They explained the changes that would take place throughout my pregnancy and being a first time mom, it was really helpful since I had no idea what to expect. I enjoyed my monthly visits because I felt they really understood what I was going through. In the classes, Juan Diego taught me what to expect when I was pregnant and what to do in case of an emergency. He teaches his classes with so much wisdom you can’t help but take his advice. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions. When I gave birth to my daughter Aleyda I had already taken the breastfeeding classes with Martha and she taught me how to store breast milk and what to expect when I first started breastfeeding so I knew what was the correct way and what was the wrong way and because of her I was able to determine that my daughter wasn’t latching on correctly. So as soon as I got out of the hospital I went to her for help and she greeted me with open arms and helped me when I was just about to give up and give my daughter formula. Martha gave me courage and guidance and motivated me and because of her, my daughter is 5 months and is only breastfeeding and is healthier than ever. So thank you Martha for all your help. I am eternally grateful. Now that my daughter is older I am able to take her to the Mommy and Me classes MOMS offers and I love it. I see her more alert and I love doing all the little activities with her. I wish more people knew about how great MOMS Orange County is and how nice and helpful all the people are. Thank you for all the support and love you guys have given me.
