The 10th Annual MOMS Orange County Celebrates Mothers luncheon and awards presentation was held on Thursday, May 14th, 2009 at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Kaiser Permanente was the presenting sponsor of the event, which paid tribute to honorees and to mothers everywhere, including Outstanding Client Mother of the Year, Dieu-Trang Anbari. The Masters of Ceremonies were MOMS Orange County Board Members Mike Austin and Shannon Hall who kept the audience engaged with their witty anectodes and high energy.

The Children & Families Commission of Orange County received The Dottie Andrews Leadership in Maternal Child Health Award for their outstanding commitment and dedication to programs that support the health and well-being of children and families in Orange County.
St. Joseph Health System, Recipient of the Corporate Humanitarian Award
Additionally, The St. Joseph Health System was honored with a Corporate Humanitarian Award for their corporate-wide support which has advanced the mission and work of MOMS Orange County.
“The ten-year anniversary of MOMS Orange County Celebrates Mothers calls for something unique, and honoring those who make our mission come alive is very fitting,” says Pamela Pimentel, CEO of MOMS Orange County, “It takes a village to raise a child but also a circle of friends and family to support mothers through their pregnancies. The St. Joseph Health System and The Children & Families Commission of Orange County are part of that caring circle and deserve special recognition for advancing the well being of mothers and their families in Orange County.”
